CHALLENGE

Our client required specific buoyancy assembled around Bend Restrictors for the Steel Tube Flying Leads (STFL) in support of the installation of subsea hardware. The product was to be delivered fully qualified for a 40 year design-life within nine weeks of approval to proceed.

SOLUTION

Concurrent engineering and manufacturing activities were conducted to ensure the development and delivery of the product on time. The expertise and process efficiencies were also key to facilitating such an agile approach.

OUTCOME

The system, which consisted of seven assemblies of a 0.5 ton-300 msw rated buoyancy integrated onto a bend restrictor string, was delivered to the client on time and within budget.
