JOB DESCRIPTION
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re on the lookout for two R&D Engineers to join our world-class facility where innovation meets real-world impact. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where the Research & Development role is deeply involved across the entire life cycle of advanced composite products — from material formulation and mechanical design to hands-on mechanical testing and production process implementation.
We’re looking for Engineers who are curious, solutions-focused, and excited to push the boundaries of what’s possible. If you thrive in an environment that truly values creativity and technical excellence—this is your opportunity to make a tangible difference.
As an R&D Engineer you’ll assist the Head of R&D in the design and development of new products and be engaged with the development of a variety of manufacturing methods including, but not limited to composites, injection moulding, roto moulding, thermoforming and compression moulding.
Some of the duties you will be responsible for include:
- 3D modelling, detailed design, FEA, and drafting of new thermoplastic products in line with engineering standards.
- Conduct feasibility analysis of new products (risk, technical & cost).
- Generate Qualification Plans and drive product testings & reporting.
- Design, review, and commission tooling, including identifying and managing modifications.
- Assist the production and operations teams to enhance process efficiency, tooling, and fixture development.
- Contribute to material development, particularly thermoplastic composites, and support the identification of short, mid & long-term strategies in thermoplastic products and processes.
- Maintain accurate product BOMs and tooling databases within ERP systems, ensuring clarity, quality, and HSE compliance.
- Support QA, documentation, client enquiries, and field testing that involves travel when required.

- Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, detailed design, and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Hands-on approach, with strong emphasis on methodical testing and clear reporting.
- Positive, can-do attitude, with high attention to detail and strong teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of composite materials is highly regarded.
